Sarah Appleyard RVN Clinical Lead Nurse

Sarah has worked at Pelyn Vets since 2004 and is now one of our hardworking Clinical Lead Nurses. Her main passions are inpatient care, emergency medicine, cat friendly nursing, wound management, and student training. She still very much enjoys playing a hands-on nursing role within the team. 

Sarah loves all patients, but it is no secret that she has an extra soft spot for cats. She is proud to be a cat friendly advocate and strives to provide a stress-free environment for our feline patients wherever possible. 

At home, Sarah is mum to two fabulous children. The three of them enjoy leading active lives and spending time in nature. They have ponies, cats, chickens, and guinea pigs. Life is busy but certainly not boring!
