Nicola Shaw BVSc CertAVP(VD) MRCVS Veterinary Surgeon

Nicky graduated with Honours from Liverpool University in 1989. She spent 2 years as a mixed vet in Leicestershire before returning to her roots in the South West and joining Pelyn Veterinary Group in 1991. 

She worked full-time in mixed practice until the late 1990s and the birth of her 2 children. Since then, she has enjoyed many aspects of companion animal practice and has also pursued a keen interest in Dermatology. Following several years of study, she gained her Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Dermatology) in 2015 and achieved Advanced Practitioner Status in 2016. 

She works in many areas of the practice, but also now offers a referral dermatology service for Kernow Veterinary Group.

When not working, Nicky loves spending time with her family. She enjoys swimming, singing, reading and walking her Golden Retriever, Alfie.
