In 2007 Judith was promoted to the role of Head Nurse for the Pelyn team, where her main role was be on hand to support and help staff with the daily running of the surgeries; while still carrying out her passion for animal care with the hands on day-to-day role of a veterinary nurse - helping owners through the process of surgery, from admission, through anesthesia, onto recovery and discharge.
In 2016 she hung-up her nursing scissors and progressed into a more administrative management role as Support Staff Team lead. This is an ever changing role but ultimately provides support for the Team Leads and the wider Small Animal Support team.
Judith oversees the rotas for around 65 small animal support staff across 5 practices – which is no mean feat! She is also involved with staff recruitment, and is keen to support all staff with completing her Mental Health 1st aid training in 2021.
However, when we are short staffed Judith is the first to pick-up her nursing scissors and help the team.
Outside of work she is a doting mum to her two children and finds a good walk on the beach with her dogs is a great way to relax.
