Andy Cornelius BVSc MRCVS Small Animal Veterinary Director

Andy was born in Cornwall and has lived in St Austell for most of his life. He graduated from Bristol University in 1999. His career began as a mixed vet working for 2 years in a busy mixed practice in South Wales. He then spent 2 years working in a small animal hospital in Cambridgeshire where he developed his love of working with companion animals.

Andy returned to Cornwall in 2003 and soon started work as an assistant at Churchend Vets, near his home in St Austell . In 2005 he became a partner with focus on the small animal work. Following the formation of the Kernow Veterinary Group he has continued his role as the lead veterinary surgeon at the Churchend surgery. Apart from leading the Churchend team, he spends his time working in all areas of the practice as his interests lie in both small animal medicine and surgery. He also works actively in the provision of out of hours care for the whole Kernow Vet team.
When not working, Andy spends his time with his young family. He still enjoys sailing, kayaking, fishing and walking his springer spaniel when work and family duties allow!
