Having qualified from Liverpool University in 1994, Dominic joined the Harleigh surgery as a mixed veterinary surgeon dealing with all creatures great and small. After four years he moved on to pastures new to experience life in another practice team, returning to Harleigh Road in 2003.
In the last couple of years Dominic has focused more on the small animal work within the Harleigh team. He is particularly interested in abdominal medicine. He still manages to keep his hand in with some cattle work though. He enjoys working with a great team of people and, is never happier than when he is winding up the nursing team!
He plays a key part in the Kernow out of hours service as well, working nights and weekends looking after the hospitalised animals and dealing with emergencies that arrive.
He keeps busy out of work with his family – two growing boys and a veterinary surgeon wife. He tries to keep up with cycling and gardening in between taxi driving for the boys. He has three guinea pigs and three goldfish but, having recently moved to a house with a bit more land, has plans for some chickens – and maybe a duck house!
